As the Mary Ann Winterling Elementary School Community Schools Coordinator, my purpose is to implement an evidence-based school improvement strategy in which MAW partners with community organizations and local government, to provide an integrated focus on academic improvement, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement, by taking a comprehensive approach that includes these four key pillars

- Expanded learning time and opportunities
- Family and community engagement
- Collaborative leadership and practices
I am working to ensure that our community partnerships are mutually beneficial. I feel that it is important to support our partners anyway that we can.
